Clement's Blog

This week I'm learning how to do my cheers. I'm learning what skype is. And I'm still learning cursive. In science I'm learning about the scientific method and we're growing plants.

Wow. I remember when I was in third grade...many years ago. One of my favorite lessons in science was about plants. Isn't it amazing that something actually comes out of a seed and that it grows?

So glad to hear you are learning about skype. My daughter lives in Cambodia...very far away and if it weren't for skype I wouldn't be able to talk to her very much.

    Have a great day!

  2. Hi Clement. I like that you are learning what skype is... It is a very important tool for me in my life. You see, I am Mrs. Hickle's mom, and I live far away in another country. So, I miss out on seeing her and seeing her baby, Taylor. With skype, we have been able to use the video chat to see each other while we talk. That way, Taylor can see what her Gramma looks like and I get to see her walk and hear her talk. Technology has changed a lot since I was in third grade and I am very thankful for tools like computers and skype. Maybe some day Mrs. Hickle can set up a skype visit with your class and me.

  3. Hey Clement! Skype is so much! It is a great way to talk to friends and family far away! Cursive isn't one of my favorite things..... it was always hard for me to get the letter just right! But your a smart little guy! I bet your cursive is awesome! Ahh, the scientific method... I remember when I did my first science fair experiment... it comes in handy! I wish my class was growing plants! I always over water my plants.... =) Have fun and enjoy third grade buddy!

    Your Big Buddy,
    Ashley(:
